After the dose of common sense, now it’s the turn of rebel Samajwadi Party general secretary and Rajya Sabha member to sound like a broken record. He comes out in NDTV and says the deal is against Muslims! Okay let’s make it simple to Mr. Shahid Siddiqui and other self proclaimed spokespersons of Indian Muslims. Quote a single clause in the N-deal that is against the muslims? He can’t!
Probably all Mr. Siddiqui has against the deal is his dislike towards America or his love for power as a fellow SP MP Mr. Salem Sherwani would have us believe (According to him Mr. Shahid Siddiqui was unlikely to be nominated to Rajya Sabha again). Going by his statement to the press it is apparently his dislike towards America:
”For the last one month, I have been feeling uneasy over the nuclear deal. I am of the opinion that it is not in national interest. I have been opposing it for the last three years,”
How else could he oppose the deal even before its text was unveiled last year?
